Kassandra Wedel is a German actress, dancer, and choreographer, renowned for her work as a Deaf artist. Using sign language, spoken language, poetry, dance, and visual expression, she creates a unique form of storytelling and performance. Kassandra gained recognition for her role in the TV series Tatort episode "Totenstille" (2015) and various other television appearances.
In 2016, she won first place on the German TV dance show Deutschland Tanzt (Pro7). Her stage performances include appearances at prestigious theaters such as the Opera Wuppertal in Aschemond or the Fairy Queen (2017) and Münchner Kammerspiele in Lies (2017).
A world champion in hip-hop, Kassandra excels across multiple dance genres as a performer and choreographer. She broke new ground while working on a music video to Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, an experience that reshaped her approach to interpreting music through dance. This project captured behind-the-scenes moments on the streets of Berlin, highlighting the creative collaboration between Kassandra, her co-choreographer, and a sign-language interpreter.
